This quilt was made for a very special friend of mine Mill. She was moving to the US earlier this year and I wanted to make her something special that she could take with her and remember me by, as well as providing her new apartment with instant colour! I think I managed both with this quilt.
Each star is made from 1930's Repro fabric, with the plain colours being basic homespun fabrics. I had to have the quilt machine quilted as I just did not have the time to hand quilt it the way it needed to be quilted.
I was really happy with the result and the look on Mill's face was priceless when she unwrapped it!

Hey Sam,
ReplyDeleteFinally I learn to cope with blogger. Great.
How are you. Nice to see all your artworks. I couldn't make it. Beautiful.
How was babysitting last days? I am looking forward to see you and Jamie again. We, Hiddo en I, realise that we are going soon. Such a pity, we had a great time.
Are you still able to have a picnick or something tomorrow. Do you like the centenial park? Maybe we can sit over there somewhere if the weather is fine. If not, no problem, then we see you saturday.
Cheers, Marjolein
